Q. Do you allow children?
A. No sorry. Ardrossan is not suitable
for children.
Q. Do you allow pets?
A. No. We love pets and have 3 little
lady dogs. Coco the long haired Chihuahua,
Schatze the long haired miniature dachshund
and K.C. the Papillion. They like all
the attention from guests. As do the
geese, ducks, fish, homing pigeons, Dexter
cattle and damara sheep. There are boarding
kennels close by.

Q. What deposit do you require? Do you
take credit cards?
A. 50% of total booking by direct deposit, Paypal
or cheque within 7 days. Balance in cash on
arrival or by direct deposit before your arrival.
Please bring exact cash to pay your bill
as we can not always provide change.
Q. What time is check in and check out?
A. Check in any time after 3pm. Let us
know your approximate time of arrival.
Check out by 10am so we can have time to clean the rooms and bathrooms before
other guests arrive.
Q. Can we stay 1 night only?
A. We prefer to have multiple night bookings as it is a great deal of work preparing
the B&B for guests. We have been known to weaken and take 1 night bookings
at the last minute if we have a room available. Doesn’t hurt to ask!
Q. Do you have air-conditioning?
A. Yes all B&B bedrooms have reverse cycle air conditioning as does the guest
lounge room, library and dining room.
Q. Will we have a private bathroom?
A. Yes. The Rose, Philadelphia and Paris queen
rooms have ensuites. Take

The Tapestry room has a large private bathroom
with shower, spa and separate toilet room.
Q. Do you have a fireplace?
A. Yes, the guest lounge room has a wood burning jet master fireplace and air-conditioning.
Q. Do you have a TV?
a. Yes, there is a complete entertainment centre TV, DVD, VCR, CD player with
lots of movies to watch and books to read.
Q. What time is breakfast?
A. Usually between 8am and 9am but this is up to you.
Q. What are the hours we can use the swimming pool and heated spa?
A. Between 8am. and 10pm. Please make sure you replace the spa cover tightly
after use. Please supply your own towels and hang then on the line to dry. There
is a charge of $5 for the use of Ardrossan’s pool towels as we have to take
them to town to launder. Ardrossan depends on rainwater and we are in drought.
We have a bucket in the showers. Please take short showers and tip the bucket
water on the garden.
Q. Can we drink in the spa?
A. No drinking in the spa .B&B REGULATIONS. No glass or bottles in the pool
area. You can drink on the veranda, in the garden, in the library or lounge room.
Q. Can I smoke?
A. No smoking inside the B&B. It took Ed long enough to quit. You may smoke
in the garden or on the veranda as long as it doesn’t bother other guests.
Please empty your ashtray in the garbage can outside before you leave.
Q. Will I be able to park my bike, motor bike or car safely?
A. Yes
Q. How do I find Ardrossan B&B?
A. Ardrossan is 2.86k from the Mudgee Post Office on Market Street which becomes
the Gulgong Road or Castlereagh Highway as you drive west towards Gulgong. Turn
right into Ardrossan’s driveway just before the railroad crossing. Complete
directions and map on our web site.
Q. How long does it take to get to restaurants and pubs?
A. 3 minutes to the nearest restaurants.
Q. What is your policy if we break something?
A. Depends what you break. $5 per wine glass or plate. You will be charged a
special clean up fee if you have “accidents” in your room.
